Looking for something fun, fresh, and full of flavor to spice up your Saturdays in Plymouth, Michigan? The Plymouth Community Farmers Market is back for another season of locally grown goodness, starting Saturday, May 10, 2025, and running through October 25, 2025. Whether you’re a foodie, a plant lover, or just someone who enjoys a good stroll with coffee in hand, this market has something for everyone.
When and Where? Mark Your Calendars!
The market runs every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. You’ll find it behind Kellogg Park in “The Gathering” area and along Penniman Avenue. It’s the perfect spot to kick off your weekend, with a vibrant atmosphere and plenty of fresh finds.
But heads up—there are two Saturdays when the market takes a break: July 12 (for Art in the Park) and September 6 (for the Fall Festival). So plan accordingly!
What’s on the Menu? (Hint: It’s More Than Food)
This isn’t just any farmers market. Sure, you’ll find your staples like fresh fruits, veggies, and herbs. But there’s so much more:
- Baked Goods: From crusty artisan bread to sweet pastries that practically beg to be paired with coffee.
- Meats & Fish: High-quality proteins for your next BBQ or dinner party.
- Dairy Delights: Cheeses that would make any charcuterie board jealous.
- Flowers & Plants: Brighten up your home or garden with seasonal blooms.
- Crafts & Art: Unique handmade items like candles, soaps, jewelry, and even birdhouses.
And don’t miss out on specialty items like local honey, jams, BBQ sauces, and even hand-painted furniture. It’s a treasure trove of creativity and deliciousness.
Why Should You Go?
- Support Local Farmers and Artisans: Every dollar you spend goes directly to hardworking vendors who pour their hearts into their products.
- Freshness You Can Taste: Most of the produce and plants are Michigan-grown. When the local growing season kicks in, you’re guaranteed farm-to-table freshness.
- A Social Hub: The market isn’t just about shopping—it’s a community event. Catch up with neighbors or meet new friends while enjoying live music or simply soaking in the lively vibe.
